YARD SALE->> One man's trash is another man's comedy as hypothesized by this hilarious stand-up comedy experiment at the Sunset Strip’s World Famous Comedy Store. Admission will cost you $10, -OR- simply that piece of junk/jem you’ve been contemplating getting rid of. Your item will be placed on stage and act as the backdrop when the YARD SALE comedians perform, providing plenty of fodder for spontaneous hilarity. After each comedian an item will be sold to the highest bidder in a live auction, generating the “cover charge” and lots of laughs.

Teen Comedy Workshop->> Do you have an imaginative child aged 12-16 who could use some direction, self-confidence, better communication skills, or to be surrounded by a community of like-minded creative types? This 4-week crash course in comedic communication is the perfect place for students to receive a solid introduction to humorous writing and performing. It's also a perfect place to have fun and make new friends.

What this course is:
Custom-tailored to the needs and wants of the students enrolled, this course is a holistic comedy boot camp that gives your child a taste of several sub-genres in comedy:
•Writing
•Stand-Up
•Sketch
•Improv

This is a highly interactive course full of theatre games, collaborative writing projects, and performances that keeps students on their toes, both physically and mentally.

About the lead instructor:
Gabe Pacheco, a veteran collaborator with Like2laugh productions, has a master’s degree in elementary education and is a licensed public school teacher. He is a working stand-up comedian who has performed internationally. He has improv and sketch writing training from Upright Citizen’s Brigade and the People’s Improv Theatre. When his is not on tour, he can be found teaching writing workshops with the Story Pirates here in New York City. A seasoned instructor has over 8 years of experience working with both children and adults, Gabe has designed a program grounded in sound pedagogy that takes into account the cognitive, social, and emotional levels of adolescents.

The Course:

 •4 weeks long
•2 hours ever Saturday 1pm-3pm
•Located at the Brooklyn Art Exchange
•Enrollment capped at 12 students.
•Assistant Instructor present at all times keeping student-to-instructor ratio at 1:6.
