In 2003, the comedy scene needed a shake-up, and Josh Filipowski was the man with the plan. Frustrated by the sea of mediocre comedy shows, he rallied his favorite comedians. He brought the laughs to his hometown in Westchester County. That night was the spark that ignited Like2Laugh Productions.
From that humble beginning, we’ve grown to become a comedy powerhouse, producing side-splitting shows at venues all over Westchester and renowned comedy clubs in the Big Apple. We’ve graced iconic stages like New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Carolines on Broadway, and Laugh Lounge, leaving audiences in stitches and returning for more.
In 2007, we kicked it up a notch with the birth of the March Comedy Madness, a comedy extravaganza that’s nothing short of a slam dunk. Picture a 64+ comedian single-elimination tournament, and you’ve got the gist. It all began at Carolines on Broadway in New York City and the madness hasn’t stopped since! We just celebrated 20 years of the tournament, raising $6,421 for the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, at The Comedy Studio in Harvard Square.
In recent years, we’ve set up shop in the vibrant city of Boston. Catch us Tuesdays at The Point in Boston; monthly at The Anchor in Charlestown; and monthly at Kushala Sip Lounge in Chelsea- thanks to Boston producer Richie Welch and associate producer Krista Patronick keeping the stage hot! We’re also regulars at resident gigs, private parties, and special events.
