Biography
David Foster is one of the premiere new comedian/actors out of New York today. Blending insightful material with a seemingly drunk on-stage character, he surprises and amuses crowds with a non-chalant urban perspective. His New York tone coupled with endearing demeanor makes him appealing to crowds of all ages and backgrounds. Since entering the circuit in 2002 he has performed on HBO and Showtime, and was a lead cast member as the character, “Sauce,” on MTV’s Boiling Points.

Native to New York, David’s interests as an adolescent were limited to skateboarding, graffiti, and hip hop. He wasn’t considered a “class clown” until his college years, when he developed a passion for writing and performing comedic sketches with friends. Soon after starting their own variety show on Manhattan’s public access station, David and his friends had a local fan following. It was this experience coupled with a recommendation from a Film Writing professor that prompted him to enter the world of stand up.

In the summer of 2003, only a year and a half after David began working open mics, HBO held a nationwide, open-call audition for P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy. Not only was David selected to appear on the show’s first season, he was one of ten asked to travel around the country promoting its premiere. David’s exceptional performance led to his being cast as a lead on MTV, and as one of the comics on Showtime’s Whiteboyz In The Hood. Most recently, David was financed by a local production company to write a screenplay and an Internet cartoon. His natural talent has helped his career to progress at a wonderfully fast pace. David’s range of abilities and original perspective will afford him much success, whether in stand-up, acting, writing, or all three.
