Biography
One may not think a former cop would have much of a sense of humor, well you need to meet a former police officer from Houston that does. While moonlighting off-duty as a security officer Raibon wandered into a comedy club. He later formed a partnership with Rushion McDonald, (manager of Steve Harvey) and along with J. Anthony Brown created the Apollo Theatre of the Southwest, “The Hip-Hop Comedy Stop”, where the birthplace of Destiny’s Child took place on amateur night in the early 90’s. Later, after performing in Dave Rabe’s well-known play, “Streamers”, Raibon realized he had the chops for acting and left Houston in 1995 and pursued stand-up comedy and acting. Raibon has made appearances on such television shows as, “Just Shoot Me”, “Six Feet Under”, “The District”, “Without A Trace”, “NYPD Blue“, “N.C.I.S.”, “Las Vegas”, “My Name Is Earl”, a recurring cop on “Punk’d”, a recurring guest star role on the hit series, “The Shield” as the snitch, Russell Simmon’s HBO Def Comedy Jam, Martin Lawrence presents 1st Amendment Stand up, TVONE's "Way Black When 70's", numerous commercials including a national State Farm Insurance spot. Raibon can be seen in the Independent thriller, “Strange Fruit.” Currently developing a new golf related scripted sit-com series called “FORE”. Raibon also performs abroad for the United States Military.
