Biography
Fiona Dougherty has been performing stand-up and improv around New York City for the past few years. She has been seen at Comix Comedy Club, Ochi’s Lounge, Gotham City Improv, Under St Marks, The Creek & East Ville Comedy Club. She hosts a weekly Open Mic at 310Lounge in the East Village on Monday nights. Fiona studied Improv and sketch writing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. She can also be seen on the product packaging for Frolick Pet Food… because if anyone can sell dog food… it’s Fiona!

The nitty-gritty:
Fiona Dougherty was born and raised in Queens, NY, where she starred as “Student # 3” in an elementary school play about the Solar System at P.S. 18. Then, due to inevitably turning into a gang member at a public high school or a slutty Catholic school girl at St. Francis Prep, she was moved to suburban Long Island by her parents, where she inevitably turned into a giant nerd at an Abercrombie & Fitch sponsored High School.

Fiona blossomed into a hilarious and slightly less nerdy young lady at Binghamton University, a.k.a “The Ivy League of the SUNY Schools”, where she wrote, filmed & edited sketches, studied & performed Improv and had the best batting average on her 99% male intramural softball team. She graduated with a degree in Psychology (only slightly more useful than an English degree).

Fiona was labeled as a “Smart Alec” on numerous occasions by her parents, who still have her 9th grade Student of the Month plaque hanging in their living room. They are very proud.
