Biography
Joey got his start in stand-up in 2011 in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio after his friends played a joke on him by secretly signing him up for an open-mic. His love for both attention and drunken challenges pushed him up on the stage that night, and he’s had a tough time getting off of it since. He was best known back home for his debauchery as “The Comedy Intern” on the Andrew Z in the Morning Cumulus Radio Show, performing everything from prank-calls to his 92-year-old “Grandma Rosie” to “Celebrity Rap Battles” alongside Northwest Ohio's funniest comedians. After moving to L.A. in 2012, Joey has performed in venues all over, including The Comedy Store and Westside Comedy Theater, and he has opened for national touring acts such as Damon Wayans, Pete Holmes, and Brian Callen.
